How do i get half curly half wavy hair with a hair curler?

When i curl my hair with a curler, i end up with really curly ringlets, so how do i get loose wavy curls with a curler?

Also..is it easier and less time consuming to curl your hair with a hair straightener?

You can do a number of things to get this hair style, one of those is braiding it the night before, or try doing it was a hair straightners. They give you really nice curls. You could try putting your hair in a messy bun for the night then take it out in the morning and it was have body waves. or you could just use your regular curling iron, but do it about 1hr before you do watever you want to do so it will drop and go like you want it!
