Using very small sections, and a small flat iron (1in or smaller) start at the roots of the section and pull the flat iron down the strands while turning. It is very, very hard to explain because you need to almost make a ';C'; motion with your hand while sliding the flat iron down, don't just slide it down and turn. When you make one turn, take the flat iron off your hair and re-adjust it to make another curl on the same section and do it again, until you get to the ends of your hair! This is close to impossible to describe, so hope it helps and it takes a few tries to get the hang of it!
