How do i make my hair....?

i want to make my hair look sleek and straight (i can do that with a straightener) but at the same time want to make them appear full of body and bounce too...how can i do this?? somebody told me that curls give the most body but i don't like curls....please also mention what products to use...i thought maybe i should use something by either tresemme or garnier since i heard both re pretty good....but i want your opinion on which one is better and gives better results that are long lasting....

P.S If i just use the root boosting spray, will it give me the desired volume and hold all day long???

thanks! How do i make my hair....?
I don't know how you could straighten it and have bounce at the same time but teezing your hair after straightening could help. I personally think that you should either use Pantene or Tresemme....How do i make my hair....?
You could try something like:

or

http://www.flickr.com/photos/jenncurbsto

Just straighten the top layers, curl the bottom, %26amp; maybe a few random curls on top %26amp; then flip it %26amp; spraay it with hairspray so you get a 'body boost' %26amp; then maybe fluff it up a bit %26amp; spray it. :))

Hope i helped.
i know this works with layers but im not sure with regular hair.

cips up all the top layers and curl the bottom layer like crazy. sray that with a stiff spray.

straighten the top layers and flip you hair upside down and spray with a root uplifting spray. on the top use a shine sray then play with your hair. the curled bottom layer gives it volume without noticing the curls. hope this works with your hair!

It all depends on why you want to look pretty. If you want to look pretty to be vain, to feel prettier looking than other women or simply to take in attention you have no plans on paying back, I can't really help you.

If you're trying to look pretty to get a guy, I have this to say. Women who spends hours on their hair and makeup for their own attention is a dime a dozen. The keepers in my opinion are the ones that notice something about a guy they like. Outward admiration is far more attractive than conceitedness.

In my 39 years of living, I have NEVER seen a pretty girl walking past me with a conceited prissy gaze on her face, and said, ';Oh my gosh, she's playing hard to get, I just have to get her!'; On the other hand, every girl I have ever been with was always the one that was nice and would at least say hi. Not all my past girlfriends were perfect looking, but they all got the man. Trust me on this one, makeup, clothes and perfume is not where beauty is. It's in the attitude behind your eyes, It's in your actions, and it's in that smile of yours.

Many women never figure this out. It's a good thing there's so many desperate men to make up for it, otherwise they would all be alone at home with their mirrors..

I couldn't get your link to open, but I'm sure you are very beautiful. Just gain your prettiness by letting people see your nice personality.

P.S.

I was just able to get your link to work by deleting the last two characters. Come on!! You know you're pretty! haha.. You have to be kidding..Aight, help with looking pretty please? :)?
i clicked on the picture and it doesnt work, youtube has alot of videos on this stuff, and how to do it.
I think your really pretty=]

Welll I dont know exactly what to say but u have gorgeous hair, try different hairstyles. I would straighten it or curlying it would be super pretty. for me, a lot of the times I pull my hair in a high pony tail, then leave out my side bangs and curl them, then put a thin hair band in my hair.

Eyeliner is awesome. You should use it, I love your eyes! And mascara too. I'm not completley sure how to do the smokey effect, but It might be a little dramatic. I'm not sure though. I would try a purple eye shadow. That would go good with your eyes.

As for school... theres nothing much you can do except for your hair, and accessorize a little if u can. Try to use grey, red, white, or dark colors to match with your school outfit.

On weekends, just have fun. Experiment with different outfits, that's what I do. I layer shirts a lottttt so i would recommend that. I'm not sure what kind of clothes your have, so send me a msg and I can help you more!

hope this helps=]

You look pretty, if you just highlight your eyes with a pencil, you'll be truly gorgeous; no need to do anything else - your hair style suits you, just as your overall appearance.

About the eyes highlighting - you don't say what the color of your eyes is, and this is important for for finding colour combinations that would suit you best, but a good advice you may follow is: for black and brown eyes it is best if you choose dark brown not black eyeliner; black eyeliner would make you look much older and unnaturally. For blue or green eyes choose light brown; and for grey or multicolor eyes choose black eyeliner.

This is for the eye highlighter but before applying this you will need to apply a light cream or a make up base - some kind of skin illuminator works great for any age and occasion. Avoid heavy makeups and powders for everyday use - save them for the prom or a special dinner out with your boyfriend.

Now, here is the make-up routine for the everyday great look:

1. Apply cream or make up base.

2. Liberally apply skin illuminator all over face and neck (and decollete if in the summer). Always remember that while powders and makeups need to be a shade lighter than your skin, skin illuminators are best 1 shade darker than your skin.

3. Apply white sparkling eyeshadow over your upper lid. Do not reach the brows, apply only above the eye for best results. At the outer ends of the eyelids apply a darker shade - if you have black or gray eyes, you can use the green eyeshadow you have, otherwise you must buy different colours eyeshadows: When I look at your pics, I think deep blue eyeshadow would suit you best anyways. So apply deep blue eyeshadow at your upper outer eyelids, only at the ends. You can be generous when applying there, but not too much.

After that, you'll need a peachy eyeshadow for your upper inner eyelids. Apply liberally from above the eyes to the brows.

And finally, apply a silver eyeshadow just beneath your brows.

So you'll need to buy a white, blue, peachy and silver eyeshadows to get the look of a goddess.

Don't use too much eyeshadows for everyday although.

4. When you get 5 years older, you can use a pinkish blusher for your cheeks at this step, but not now - you definitely don't need it now.

5. Now apply the eyeliner and mascara. Colours for the eyeliner are explained above, now about the application: whatever colour, you need to apply a darker color eyeliner on your upper inner eyelids, pressing more there, and lightly smoothing the pencil in the middle of the upper lid and especially at the upper outer eyelid. Most women do the opposite because their eyes are not so naturally looking like yours, and they need to get the natural look, but you really have a good eye shape, and you'll get amazing results if you follow my advice.

For the lower eyelid you only need a light smooth line like that in the upper middle eyelid.

Black thickening mascara would help your eyes look fantastic, you just apply more mascara on the outer lashes. Much much much more mascara on the upper lashes, and just a tiny tiny touch on the lower.

6. A baby pink lipstick and a gloss above, and you are ready! :) Just brush your brows and hair, lightly touch with a sparkling powder whereever necessary on your face, put some good perfume, and you now have that GODDESS LOOK!

Everybody will notice and envy you for your new and amazing appearance. Have a nice evening out, or just a special day, and isn't any day a special one, a day when you can show your creativity to the world?! !:)

Just 1 more thing: You only do not forget to remove your make up before going to bed - this is essential for maintaining a healthy and good looking skin forever. Use a cleansing milk with cotton pads if too tired, but it's always best to remove all make-up traces with a cleanser under the shower.Help me look pretty!?
just put some make ups
Actually, by looking at your pics, you really don't look that bad.

And that one of the first things you need to change. Self-confidence does actually make people look much better to the rest of the world.

I think that if maybe you got bangs, that would look really cute.

You should probably also use some eyeliner to define your eyes.

I'm not sure how I can help you with the uniform though. It sounds like you should add a few accessories of your own.
get trendy clothes.. eat healthy, work out.

seventeen magazine %26amp; cosmo girl magazine have tons of tips for these things, so pick one up next time you're at a store..
if you ushally have your hair up then have it down either straight or curly. have your tie loose ( im sure you do already because i dont know any school kid that dont ) wear a different jumper and if you get told of just put ur red jumper over it or you could get a nice black coat which will look good. and to do your smokey eye look go on this website its helped me before http://beauty.about.com/od/allaboutyoure

and i dont think you are ugly but i no what its like a school even tho you are pretty you dont get noticed ... well thats what its like at my school

鈾asically get ready in the morning - have a shower, wash hair etc. Put on school uniform etc etc.

鈾oisturise your face and apply foundation, (make sure it matches your skin colour) curl lashes and put on mascara.

鈾low dry hair, then run the GHD'S through them (ghds are amazing aren't they?!)

鈾airs straight so now spray some hairspray (avoiding the roots) to set your style.

鈾erfume!

鈾our ready to go!

This is only an idea..but remember always let your personality and confidence SHINE through xxxx :)
ay man.. your hot already, those piks show confidence wich makes you appear hot. that's all you need, confidence man, just smile and feel sexy.

I think to make you look even more hotter is if you put natural honey beige blonde highlights through your hair, it'll make your skin look less pale. But even so, chicks with dark hair is lyk the thing man! all you needa do is just wear eyelinger, mascara, blush! (( keep away from reds/rosy tones)), beige eyeshadows will look nice.

I like your eyebrows, so you dont needa worry abt that=). Also I like your 4th pik with your hair parted - keep it that way.. makes your face look slimmer and you look older plus hell hot! I think you'd look good with really long hair, so try growing it your boobs lol I think you look good with no layers, makes you look more modelly.

you could try in spending some money on different make up. Try to do your face with light shimmery tones and not harsh bold colours! Keep it natural. With your hair try getting at it shorter and put layers though it. with your tongs or ghds try curling your hair to give it more volume. ghds are the best for curling just tilt them as you go though the hair. If you do it right it will look amazing just practise!

Sedu or GHD? Help please!?

I need a new straightener and I am thinking about a sedu (the nano revolution 1 inch) or the GHD Iv styler. According to what research I have done, they are basically the same (both straighten and curl) and the reviews are basically the same, with the exception that the GHD seems to get a slightly higher rating on performance and quality.

The one thing I am worried about with the GHD is that is has no temperature control ( I have medium length, thick, slightly wavy/straight hair that never wants to stay straight when straightened). So, I am not sure what setting I would need.

I am also not fond of the price (280 from sephora before taxes - I live in Canada), HOWEVER, my boyfriend's brother is going to the UK this week where GHD is from, so I would be able to get one for 99 pounds (or 150 CAD not including taxes). This means I have to make a decision this week, cause I don't want to pay 300$ later if I chose the GHD.

What makes it hard is that people say the GHD is just slightly better (and I also like how they say their hair stayed straight all day!), but I can't seem to get over the temperature control part.

So those who have used a sedu, does it keep your hair straight all day? Winter and Summer?

GHD or SEDU?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!Sedu or GHD? Help please!?
You should get GHD's as they take about 5 seconds to heat up so it's quicker to straighten or curl your hair especially if your in a rush to get somewhere! and if your boyfriend's brother is going to the UK then you will be able to get them for a good price as you just said. SEDU's are good but they take longer, and they don't keep your hair straight or curly for the whole day. Personally I really think you should go for GHD's they are very good and they are worth your money! Have Fun with your new hair Straighteners!Sedu or GHD? Help please!?
I don't know more about Sedu, but I am using GHD and I feel it good.So I recommend you buy one.personal experience
I own the sedu revolution and i love it. Temperature control is an extremely important factor when looking for a flat iron. My sedu heats up in about 20 seconds and the plates are feel like silk on my hair. I have never had any snagging. My sedu keeps my hair straight for about two weeks and I have curly hair. I have not been able to try it in the summer yet. Alot also depends on the heat protectants you use. I use redken heat glide and chi silk infusion. If you end up deciding on a sedu, i reccomend getting the 12 piece set because its only ten dollars more than the flat iron by itself and it also includes the mini flat iron, heat mat, travel case, heat glove, dvd, mini travel case, 3 crane clips, a paddle brush, a fine tooth comb.

Hy, I can solve your problem because I am hair specialist and have a much experience in this field. So My experience say that all heat protectant sprays do much more bad than good for your hair. Chemicals and heat? It'll end up fried and splintering. You could make your own in a spray bottle. I use this ';recipe';:

One table spoon olive oil.

A blob of conditioner.

Five drops rosemary/ tea tree oil.

Make it up with water (I use a 200ml bottle).

It works, the olive oil makes your hair really healthy, and this way you know exactly what's going into your hair.

Omg..... help with stupid mom and school.?

Okay, so my mom wakes me up for school because I grew up waking up by my mom and not by an alarm clock. So my mom would always wake me up at 6:45am when school starts at 7:10am. I was late to school 2 weeks straight because of my mom. I never said anything about it but I'm really sick of this because today my homeroom teacher wrote me up for coming to school late..... I was like ';Wth. Okay, I don't care.'; because it's not my fault.

So I need to fix my hair by straightening/curling it and she gave away my ';CHI'; straightener to someone else without even asking me. WTH. DOES SHE HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH A CHI STRAIGHTENER COST? So I have to use a cheap drugstore straightener now and EVERYONE KNOWS THAT IT TAKES MORE THAN JUST 5 MINS. TO FIX YOUR HAIR but my mom was like ';You can fix your hair LESS THAN 5 MINUTES'; and I got mad and I told her ';Shut up, if it's so possible for anyone to do their hair in less than 5 minutes, then you do it. Show me. I want to see'; and she got mad and started talking crap about me. But anyways, my mom refuses to wake me up earlier and I don't want to go to school looking like a frizzy haired freak.

And I've been late for 2 weeks straight already and supposedly our school supports a program where you get a certain amount of tardies and you'll be sent to ';0 Credit'; and you would either have to go to summer school or re-take the school year..... Is there a way to get rid of all these tardies? Because it's not even MY FAULT and my counselor knows how immature my mom is because she's spoken to her before and she knows that I get abused by her. (Another story.)Omg..... help with stupid mom and school.?
I know how you feel. You can go to the store and buy a fairly cheap alarm clock (5 bucks maybe less) and it works fine, it's what I did. I'm a dude and I take more than 5 minutes on my hair lol.Omg..... help with stupid mom and school.?
Get an alarm clock. I know about mom's talking **** about taking too long to get ready, so now you just need to start taking control of your school attendance.

I guess you're **** out of luck then. Sorry.
set an alarm clock so you can wake up earlier
Oh honey- you ought to go hug that woman! Cause if you were my kid you would have the wake up call of your life!
Buy an alarm clock, quit blaming others for you immature shortcomings, man up and face the penalties for being late. You are a spoiled selfish child and if you were my child I would knock you into next Tuesday.
Do you have a cell phone? If you do you can use the alarm clock on that to wake up.
School starts at 710? Damn that's early...well what I suggest is you be responsible...like wake up earlier yourself, don't rely on your mom...grow up
Honey, you need to set an alarm clock for yourself. Figure out how much time you need to get ready and allow for that so you can get to school on time. This is your responsibility.
You need to start taking responsibility for yourself and stop blaming others for your problems.

Its a simple solution. Get up earlier. If it takes you 45 minutes to get ready, then you need to get up 45 minutes earlier. Get an alarm clock like others have said. Mommy isn't going to be around to get you up for the rest of your life so learn to deal with it.
should have traded in that CHI iron for a cheaper straightener and an alarm clock...

also if you go to sleep at 10pm or 9pm you will usually wake up earlier...
Here's an online alarm clock! http://onlineclock.net/
Break your mom's freakin rules and get your own alarm clock!
Snivelling about your mom doesn't help you.

Get your own clock. Hide it if necessary. There are some very quiet and cheap ones available.

You are old enough to use a computer, surely a clock is simpler and would end this little problem.

Sounds as though this is not really about a stupid clock but other issues.

Don't bother responding to me, I can't be bothered with spoiled brats.
Seriously? I get up a 6:00 AM for school starting at 7:30! It's far. Get used to life. SUCK IT UP! You'll get used to it soon enough. and im only 13. My mother + father go to sleep at 12 am-2am and wake up at 6am - 7 am. IT'S LIFE, GET OVER IT!!!! But i still feel pity for u. I know how it is to get used to this crap for your whole life then you actually have to wake up....

IT SUCKS!!!

oh well... ; )
Perhaps buy a watch that you can set your alarm on. They have ones that vibrate and won't even make a noise. Learn to take it upon yourself to wake up instead of relying on others. Try to explain to your mom that getting an alarm clock or something to help you wake up, will help you get to school on time, give you time to fix your hair and get ready for the day, and save her the hassle of waking you up in the mornings.

I need help on a story line please?

“Tessie! Get your butt in this car right now!” I shreiked. It was pouring and she just couldn’t help looking at that little Coach purse.

“Thanks, Ash, love you too. I am SO getting that purse next time, don’t you try to stop me!” Tess, my best friend in the whole world, fit perfectly with me. She was a perfect 5’6, same as me, but she had long blonde hair that curled at the tips, and jade green eyes. Unlike her, I had highlighted brown hair that was sexily layered, and carribean blue eyes. But both of us, undeniably so, were the most popular and beautiful girls in school, and the most wealthy.

“Tess, can we head down to your house? I got a date with Matt, and I need to primp, and you know I adore your straightener!”

“Sure, I need to get ready for a date too. We can make it a primp party!” She laughed.

“Who? I never can keep up with you and all those guys!” I had a steady boyfriend, Matt Robinson, whereas Tess was always on one boy to the next, she could never decide. She probably had at least six guys that she was currently stringing along.

“Baseball hottie, Andrew Hawking!” She sqeauled. “We’re going to see the Knowing, another dumb horror movie,” She sighed.

“At least it’s a good reason for some major make-out. Horror scene, sqeaul, hop in his lap, and get some action. Matt and I are going to have a home movie showing, in his room. I’ll be getting some action myself,” I was actually very happy, lately my powers have been weakening, probably of over-use (stupid zits) and I could use some nice one-on-one with Matt to cheer me up. But I could never tell Tess this, she had no idea about my powers. She was a natural beauty, blessed by God, whereas I, was not. If I was being truthful wih myself , I would admit that I was really a 5’4, clumsy girl with no status in her social life at all. Before she lived in Los Angeles, she lived in Chicago, Illinois. She had her true identity and she was in the lowest social category possible, with only one friend, a math club geek. She came to Los Angeles, shortly after discovering her powers, and she decided to use them to change her appearance, a project that was so far working well.

______________________________________…

So, how do you like it? should i change anything\? this is the beggining and the main part of the rest is that she loses her powers and is forced to be a regular girl and live her life how she really is, and she discovers that even if shes ot beautiful and popular, life isnt all that bad. please, give me your opinion! thxI need help on a story line please?
dont worry, i love it. dont listen to other jerks who are proboly sucky writers who want to harp on a good story.

i'll be here for you nat. next time, send it to me, and ask me. i'll be honest. like i am now =)

btw thanks for usin my name!!I need help on a story line please?
i think you need more of a plot line
I stopped reading halfway through - this has nothing interesting going. First off, I can automatically tell that you're under 16 because of the way you write - it shouldn't be like that.

Fix your spelling, grammar, etc - that's first. Also, your characters sound like Mary Sue's (link below) - don't make them popular, beautiful, et cetera - at least not in description. You should never describe your characters all at once like you did - and stick to basic colours, not Caribbean blue eyes, blue! Not sexily (which is not a word) layered - well, here you don't even have to explain the hair because it's not important! And having powers is such an overused device - either beauty, popularity, or powers - not all three in one.

Also, you're dating your work (making it obvious what age it's set in). Don't include designers, current movie titles, et cetera, because chanced are that they won't be known in the future and you'll confuse or bore the reader that way.
I'm going to steal my friend's line and say ';You've made a classic mistake.';

You've told us about the characters instead of showing us gradually through the story. By leaving out some details and saving them for later, you'll make your story last longer and it will make people want to read on to find out more.

Edit:

Read Ariana's post very carefully. She's nailed it.

How can I style my hair to look like this?

I already got my hair cut to look exactly like this:

http://flickr.com/photos/7363906@N07/499361850/

And when they straightened it professionally it looked really good, exactly like the picture.

I already have a ceramic straightener, but I just can't seem to do it again...

Also, I don't know what else to do with it, like should I curl it or put some barrettes in my hair?

Maybe you can show pics. of what I can do?

Thanks so much, I appreciate all of your answers!!How can I style my hair to look like this?
ok so first you have to wash it i suggest you use garnier sleek and shine shampoo, and conditioner then put the sleek and shine serum in your hair and spread it generously blow dry and use one of the fully curly brushes and and brush while u blowdry then when your done apply a little bit more serum and flat iron then when your done spritz some garnier hair spray NOT GEL all over your hair and trust me your hair will look AWWSOME hope i helped. How can I style my hair to look like this?
Put your hair up in large rollers to add volume. You can either blow dry it out or straighten, depending on which one gives a better effect for you. Then put some shine enhancing cream throughout your hair.
woooowwww. this isnt that pretty. straighten ur hair and make bangs. its really easy. commen sence.
oh, that's pretty easy-- all you have to do is put gel on the tips to make them a little spiky like hers

put gel after you straighten
Well when hair dressers do your hair its always looks amazing then its hard to repeat the look but that cut would look really cute curled like:http://lh5.ggpht.com/_2lEM_YCRcuU/R_IZZ0

http://i175.photobucket.com/albums/w149/ ( this would be cute too but you dont have to put braids you can just add a head band and pull it back. Just buy yourslef a curling iron (ceramic) And try things out look up different techniques and just play with it and see what you like. It would also look nice straightend in a small side pony tail or loose with a poof on top. Hope you liked them. :)

You should first make friends with his friends and then ask them to introduce you to her. Then you can hang out with him and your friends. But do'nt let him know your feelings right away or else you might loose your friendship with him.Be cool and confident.Frankly speaking you have a problem with your weight. Here's the solution.Everyday walk for half an hour.Avoid sleeping in the afternoon and noon at all cost as they help to increase weight.Avoid high calorific foods like milk products, butter, rice, potatoes, drinks at all cost.Do push ups a bit.Drink lots of water and eat raw vegetables like carrots, tomatoes to reduce acne.If you follow my advise then you will be in shape in 40 days. You should style your front hair to look attractive.I need your help y! answers! kind of long! ez 10 points.. please help!?
I'm not saying this is the best suggestion but this is what I would probably do - IF i were in your situation. (;

so it doesn't seem odd, you could try finding out who some of his friends are, and get your friends to make friends with his friends! LOL [if they have any classes with HIS friends] then if you're in his 'group' or around him, it won't seem peculiar because you'll be with your friends who will be with his friends - make sense?

so once your friends are friends with his friends [might take some time but patience is a virtue (: better to start now than later] you could get them to ask some of his friends who [this guy that you like] is. then ask to meet him if you're not introduced. then at least - he can acknowledge you and know you by name. after that - you could hang around his friends and gradually talk to him. it won't seem peculiar because it'll just look like you're with your friends who are with his friends (:

hope i made some sense heheh

xxx good luck. it might be hard but TRYING is the best way to learn :D

How can i get my hair like thiiiis? :/ picturesss?

I have naturally straight hair so needless to say its a ***** to curl it and do lots with it. I really dont like the curled look on me because i feel like it makes my face look rounder..i just want those pretty soft waves everyone else on the planet can seem to get besides me haha. alot of the pictures ive seen people have described it as ';beach hair'; really loose messyish waves. Ive tried curling irons, ive dried hot rollers, and ive tried doing it with a straightener and i always seem to hate it..idk maybe im just too picky. But if anybody has some ideas helpp pweasee :D

this is my hair after blowdrying and like a quick 3 minute straighten (i really dont need it i just like to get it pin straight)

I need help curling my extenisions?

i bought some extensions a little while ago off ebay.

they were only $25 incl. p+h from the UK so i don't really care if they end up being dud, but i wear them straight and they look really nice, but i cant curl them.

they are synthetic, BUT it said on their website that they were thermofibre, and could be used with heated tools up to 200 deg.

i have straightened them before at about 180 and it worked fine.

i tried to curl them, and it just did not work.

it said it had to be a metal curler, and mine was

but i think coz mine's really old, and only goes up to about 120 deg, it wasn't hot enough.

so i tried to curl them with my straightener, as that's how i curl my normal hair, but that didn't work either, because your not supposed to curl with ceramic, and i think that's what my straightener is.

so i think i've either been scammed or i need a new curler.

any idea of how else i can curl them?

    like maybe without heat?

i think ive seen some vids on youtube if anyone knows any?

    thanks

and please don't just comment that im stupid and not to buy them off ebay and stuff ok.I need help curling my extenisions?
If your curling irons only goes to 120 degrees, it won't curl anything. The minimum temp on a curling iron is usually 200 degrees, which is for hair that is very fine. Maybe your curling irons aren't working properly.

How do you curl your hair with a flat iron?

I know it's possible, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to curl my hair with a flat iron!

I have a really good 1 inch straightener.

So any tips or steps on how I can curl my hair with it? I rather not buy a curling iron.

    Thanks!

*like always, I'm asking in this section because no one ever answers my questions in the hair section.

:)How do you curl your hair with a flat iron?
    Look on youtube!

There's some good videos but I can't curl my hair for the life of me. I tried it literally like 3 days ago when I was bored and I ended up re straightening it cause I sucked it up so bad.How do you curl your hair with a flat iron?
I'm going to have to agree there are so many tutorials on YouTube for hair and make up. Some of the girls who do it are annoying lol but really good at what they do. Plus it would help for you to see it instead of reading how to do it. I wouldn't know from experience either, my hair is so thick and poofy I would never curl it, but I worship my straightener =)
pull your straightener down to the bottom of your hair, and roll it up like you would a curling iron.

or put it the top of the chunk of hair, roll it around 1/2 or a whole turn, then slowly pull it down through your hair.
Just take like a 1 inch section of hair then put your flat iron wherever you want the curl to start.

Then turn the flat iron slowly down your hair (pulling down) to make a curl.

    its really easy.
This video is a tutorial on how to do just that! : )

    http://www.youtube.com/user/hairtalkTV?f…

    Good luck!
on youtube sometimes if u type in how to straighten your hair with a flating iron it gives u a tutorial and shows u how to do it
It would be much easier for you to go on youtube and search for videos on curling hair with a straightening iron.
    youtube.
You curl it up i think

    I want the CHI..............help please?

my friends has a chi and they work AMAZING.....and i was wondering if they still make them and if so which one is the official one because i went to the websit and they have ALOT of them and i want mine to be really flat (with HARDLY ANY volume) and i want one that could curl too....(they probably all can) but umm yeah my hair is EXTREMLY curly...it is very damaged and very frizzy you can't brush it without products the curls are very tiny and my hair is very tangled.....so what straightener do you recomend(of the chi)...and be specific about how it made your hair and how you normaly have your hair.....thanks..oh and A LINK and A NAME would be perfect!!!! also the COST 2!!!!I want the CHI..............help please?
    http://www.sellinstyler.com/?gclid=CMeO3

I really hope the link works!!!

If not they have solid black, pink camo, blue camo, blue, the costs vary from 49 bucks to 70 bucks. I've never had a chi bcuz there expensive and ive used conair 4ever..... but im saving 4 1!!! make sure to use heat taming spray!!

Your opinion from experience on GHD IV Styler?

I've heard all about GHD straighteners and how good they are... and maybe I've been sucked in, because I am definitely getting one, I'm just deciding on what model.

I have long, thin hair which is naturally spiraled. I want the straightener to curl as well and straighten, though.

So I was thinking of getting the GHD IV Styler (not the GHD Salon Styler or Mini Styler)... I was wondering if people think it's a good choice and is it worth it?

At the moment, I'm stuck with a stupid Remington that is ruining my hair COMPLETELY and doesn't even straighten properly anymore...Your opinion from experience on GHD IV Styler?
well people on youtube have reviews on it but i personally feel that it is pointless spending over 200 bucks on a flat iron. I have a cortex that goes up too 410 degrees, and GHD doesn't even have a tempature dial. I got my cortex for about 30 bucks at TJMaxx and on sites like folica.com its as bit over a 100 dollars. There are some many other great choice that can do just as well as the GHD if not better, such as Amika, Chi, Solia, and Sedu!

    Hope I helped! :]

How do you curl your hair with a straightener? ?
okay i do this ALL THE TIME. heres a pic of my results...

    http://de.tinypic.com/view.php?pic=iglxz

(oh and i have pin straight hair)

    what you need:

    1. brush

    2. thin straighter 1in of 1 1/4 in (wont work otherwise)

    3. hair spary

    4. hair clips

    steps:

    1. brush out your hair

    2. spray entire head with hairspary and then brush out hair again

(this gives your hair a more natural looking curl)

    3. seperate hair three sections

(bottom, middle and top, do thnis as if you were putting your hair half up but in 3 sectons not just two)

    4. clip up extra hair and make sure your straighter is hot

    5. take a 1 inch section of hair at the root and twist the straighter so its halfway wrapped around the straightner

    6. pull the straighter down the hair shaft but keep in twisted halfway around as you pull to the end and let go

    7. repeat this all the way around your head for each layer of hair

    8. shake your haead around to loosen up curls and LIGHTLY spray with hair spray

    9. ENJOY!

***tip- when curling the hair that frames your face curl AWAY from your face for a more polished lookHow do you curl your hair with a straightener? ?
Wet your hair. It doesn't have to be dripping wet, because it will take longer to dry. It just needs to be damp enough for water to come in contact with every strand. This initial wetting serves to break the hydrogen bonds in your hair so that you can ';reset'; them in following steps. Applying mousse or a light gel helps your curls keep their shape because it will stiffen, although putting too much can make your hair feel hard or sticky.

Spray hair with heat protectant spray and comb through. This creates a protective barrier between the hair and the iron so that the hair doesn't 'frizzle' and burn. Therefore, this is highly recommended.

Brush you hair thoroughly. Section hair: starting at the nape of your head (that is, the part closest to, or on, your neck), estimate an imaginary line 1-inch above the back hair line. Section away and clip up all the remaining hair. You should be left with an inch-thick section of hair closest to the hairline.

From this remaining section of hair, take an inch meche. That is, the piece you've just separated should now be an 1-inch x 1-inch square x length of hair. Note: The size of the section you take influences the size and crispness of the curl. Smaller sections make smaller, tighter curls, and more of them. Large sections make large, lose curls and few of them. The inch x inch is a guide.

    For Flicks:

Start half-way down the length of hair, clamp the iron closed and turn it back on itself in a half turn. You should now have created a U-shape with the hair and the iron. Keeping the iron on that half-turn angle, slowly move it down the hairshaft to the end of the hair. The faster you move the iron, the less pronounced the curl/flick will be.

    For Curls:

Start fairly close to the scalp (but not close enough to accidentally burn it), clamp the iron closed and turn it back on itself a half turn (the same as with flicks). Run the iron slowly down the hairshaft to the end. Again, the slower you move the iron, the tighter the curl. The faster you move the iron, the gentler the wave.)

Move onto the next inch x inch section. Once you've finished an entire row, section the next inch-wide row and then make your smaller sections to curl.

    Finish with hairspray or laquer

Use a tail-comb (that is, a comb with a long, pointy bit on one end) and clips when sectioning.

This style can only work if you use a thin straightening iron that is about 1 inch wide and not too thick. If you use a wider one, this style may not work.

Make sure your hair is completely tangle free and smooth before you begin.

Make your parting in the middle or at the side before you start to avoid frizz

Your hair should be straight before you start for best results.

Perfect your technique the night before as straightening after you have attempted to curl your hair takes double the time as normal straightening/curling does. It might take a few tries before you've perfected this technique. If a curl becomes wayward and won't do what you want, let it cool for five-ten minutes and try it again.

Watch video demo on Youtube: or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dbk_gGCh8

These kind of curls can look really effective if you just put a couple in on top of a head full of well straightened hair.

It is highly recomended to use a heat activated spray that is 'straightener friendly' as this protects your hair and keeps your hairs condition even with regular straightening. These products can be purchased from supermarkets and chemists alike, they retail for about $4-$10. Make sure it IS straightener friendly!

If you are trying to grow your hair long, this style is not recomended. it slows the process and can burn or pull out your hair.

Irons can get extremely hot and could damage your hair if you use it too much. Make sure you condition your hair well and use a completely ceramic iron.

You may need someone to help you to do the hair at the back of your hair to prevent you from getting burned.

Since most flat irons are just two flat heated plates with plastic or some other heat resistant backing, doing so can keep the heat on the end too long and end up frying the ends of your hair so make sure you don't hold it there more than 10 seconds

Never straighten wet hair unless you have straighteners that are made to do so.

Be careful because irons get extremely hot and can burn you, which may scar you for life.

How do I get naturally wavy hair without using harsh products?

My hair is quite short, probably about 7cm under my jaw (when it hasn't been straightened). I want to have natural looking curls that look kind of like these (but with shorter hair, of course):

    http://media.photobucket.com/image/wavy%

    http://hairbrained.files.wordpress.com/2

    http://trend911.com/wp-content/wavy-hair

I have hair curlers, a straightener,a hair dryer, elastics, booby pins....not much else....

Anyway, does anyone know anyway to make my hair like that (or at least, similar?) Also, I don't want it to make my hair look any shorter then a bob.

    Thanks!

P.S. pictures of how my hair might turn out if I do what your answer says (just copy and paste the link) would be nice! How do I get naturally wavy hair without using harsh products?
Put your hair into a few loose braids when it's damp. Fasten the braids with elastics. Let your hair dry naturally. Take off the elastics and take the braids out. Then run a comb through your hair a few times so it doesn't get tangled. Your hair should be wavy after this, no harsh products required.

    Help with semi-long hair (guy)?

I am a 16-year old guy and I have semi-long hair like that : http://bestuff.com/stuff/guys-with-semi- (exactly like the one with the black shirt). My problem is that the hair itself is very thin and they tend to curl in undesirable directions. At the end, I often have curls at one side, but not at the other one. How should I dry/comb my hair for the curls to be uniform both sides? Currently, after shower I wait 10 mins before drying, and then I comb... but sometimes its already too late! I already tried a straightener, and it was working well, but my brother started to laugh at me and I quit since :( Any ideas? I appreciate your help.Help with semi-long hair (guy)?
You can blow dry the curls out by having the hot air blow straight down in the direction you want your hair to lay. If you want more curly, you could put product in it and try to scrunch it (the less curly part) while blow drying. Good luck! And if the straightener worked - don't let your brother make you feel bad about it. He's just jealous of your newly awesome hair.

    Fun with straighteners!?

I got a flat iron straightener for x-mas, which is the first thing I've EVER been able to straighten my hair with. Anything else I've ever tried (and others have tried) just makes my hair into a big fuzz ball!! This one actually makes it sleek and smooth, which I LOVE. Although I don't want to wear my hair straight every day, it's very nice to have the option.

So my questions: How bad are flat irons for your hair? I mean, really? I know there are a lot of people who straighten their hair every day. If I use it for a day or two every couple weeks, will I really notice a difference in the health of my hair? Will deep conditionings once a week help to combat the damage I'm doing?

Also... since the first time I straightened it, there is a clump of hair that won't straighten again. Just the bottom half of the hairs stay straight, while all my other hair curls back up. Is this something that could happen to the rest of my hair? Do I just have to let that section grow out??Fun with straighteners!?
It's not exactly a bad thing if you use a straightner everyday. As long as you use a deep conditioning with good quality shampoo and conditioner it should be good. And if you go to the hairdresser to get your split ends trimmed. So you probably wont notice a differnece in the health of your hair as long as you do the above. :DFun with straighteners!?
Flat ironing your hair too much can cause split ends and cause your hair to get dry. Deep conditionings and regular trimmings should help combat that. Also, make sure you're using some sort of heat protection on your hair to also prevent damage.
straighteners only work on certain hair types. Also, hair strainers burn ur hair and they are even worst if ur hair is wet
i straighten my hair every day. i have been doing it for like 2 years now and it is healthy as ever. i think it depends though. i mean, if you have thin hair it wont exactly make it any healthier, it will most likely damage it. but if you have thick hair like me, it wont do anything at all.

also, the same thing happened to me. except it did it from the middle to the bottom, not from the top to the middle. you just have to take your time doing it and make sure you go a bit slower on the top than the bottom. and i always make sure it is on the highest level

( also use hairspray before or after, then brush it out )

    hope this helps %26lt;33
    i love my straightener too,

but too much of a good thing can be bad too!

too much using a hair straightener will damage , dry out, and frizzy-up your hair VERY BAD!!

    a couple times a week isn`t so bad!! i do it normally 2 - 3 times a week.

I just be sure to deep condition it every time you shower.

this will prevent any real damage.

just let that curly section grow out i guess..

is your straightener cracked or broken- because this could make your hair not straight in certain areas.

you could always try running over that section of hair a couple times to be sure it goes straighter!!

    good luckl.

    x
Straightening your hair every day will damage it because of the heat. You will get alot of split ends, which eventually evolve into broken hairs, and your hair will dry out.

Make sure you use a good conditioner and before you use the flat iron, spray in some kind of heat protecting product. I use V05 Extreme Heat. It doesn't prevent every bit of damage, but it does help alot.
Ive been straightening my hair with GHD's everyday for about 4 years now (sometimes twice a day). Once a week i put a deep conditioning treatment on instead of my normal condition and even my hairdresser has noticed the difference (Dead Sea hair mask by Avon is my favorite). I don't have as many split ends as straighteners can cause this.

The key to getting perfect straight hair is blow drying it right. If you brush your hair in the direction you want it to set and ensure it is dry. Your half way to to perfect hair do. I used to have a natural kink in my hair and my hairdresser recommended the above to help it learn to settle that way and since has now settled.

Also don't forget a heat resistant serum while your hair is still wet. it can help to reduce the damage of the irons.

    Hope this helps

thanks! if you can rate high and comment I would appreciate it!To all girls- I need some help with my hair, can you help?
you take mousse or hair spray and have your hair wet. then, you need to mess your hair up but not completeley FREAKY but to where blake livley has it: not straight but not a pig sty
It really all depends on your hair... if you have hair that's pretty much the same length as hers, then I would suggest large rollers... if you don't have large rollers, then I would suggest washing your hair, put a little bit of mousse (%26amp; shine serum if you want) in it and let it mostly dry, then part your hair either in the middle or slightly to the side, then twist both sections into a loose bun (I'm assuming you have bobby pins). Do the same with the back of your hair so that you have three buns all together, but don't twist too much, or too tightly, the trick is to wind it. Sleep on it overnight and then style it how you like in the morning... the result will be lightly tousled curls and it's very easy to work with.

okay i have quite curly hair which is abit of a pain! ive given up trying to fight the fact but now dont no what to do with it to get the best curls

I just want a way of having looser bigger curls rather than lots of small curls!

ive tried scrunching it but it never looks right so i dont no if im doing it wrong?

i was wondering if a diffuser would be any good? and if so should i get a really big diffuser thing or a smaller one? how do you know if a diffuser will suit/work for your hair type?

Also....if i grew my hair longer (its about an inch n a half past shoulder length atm when straight) would it get less curly?

my hair is very fine if that changes anything?

    eurgh!!

any help would be much appreciated

    thanks xxx

BTW! i dont want to use straighteners as they damage my hair to much so dont bother suggesting that! thanksCurly hair tips! 10 points! :)?
of course your not stuck with your curls.

    * wash your hair with a glossy conditioner and a smooth shampoo, afterwards blow dry your hair applying mouse as you go but also brush out your hair for looser more even curls.

    * then when your hair is dry it should look alot more settled , so then get a comb and brush through your hair slowly but hardly this will stretch the curls and hair, then apply a little more mouse to your now dry hair and put your whole hand over a loop of hair and squeeze in one place tight.

Keep doing this all over and your sure to have long lasting loose curls! x

How To Survive Curly Hair: curly hair tips, tricks, %26amp; advice

I have naturally curly hair, and I mean tight corkscrews. Throughout the years I have fought with it, played with it, straightened it, despaired of it, and blown it dry within an inch of its life. I have spent more hours than I care to think of in front of a mirror with a blow dryer in one hand and a brush in the other. That’s certainly helped. However, since I have no control over the weather my hair continued to look freakishly bad whenever it got damp. However, I still insisted on wearing it straight. My metamorphosis came about 2 years ago during yet another period when I didn't know what to do with my hair. My stylist talked me into letting my hair grow and wearing it curly. I fought him all the way. (At that time my hair was very, very short so I had a long time to fight with him.) I explained to him that wearing my hair “natural” made me look like Little Orphan Annie on a bad hair day. At first I would only agree to the growing part, but one day when nothing I did with my blow dryer and straightening iron looked right, I tried it curly. I used some of the styling products he had suggested and after fooling around with it I realized that my curly style didn’t look half bad. Then I began experimenting with different styling techniques and began trying different products made to be used specifically for curly hair. Now I wouldn’t wear it any other way. Along the way, I learned a few things too:

    * First, and perhaps most importantly, find a stylist who really knows how to cut curly hair and build a rapport with him or her. (For advice on finding a good stylist, you may want to check out my tips on both how to Find A Curly Hair Salon Near You and How To Choose A Colorist and Stylist.)

    * Curls come in all shapes, sizes, and textures. Recognize your hair type and use products that are right for you. For instance, even though I have very tight curls I also have very fine hair. It took a long time to finally figure out that I also needed to address the “fine hair issue.” I now use a spray to give my hair extra body.

    * Don't wash your hair every day. I used to faithfully wash my hair every morning until a number of stylists advised me against it. Now, I wash my hair twice a week and condition it daily. They were right, my hair is much shinier and in better condition.

    * Don't ';towel dry'; your hair (i.e. rub it with a towel). Rather, gently squeeze the water out with a towel. My stylist actually recommends throwing your head forward and blotting your hair with paper towels.

    * If you have your hair colored in any way, use shampoos and conditioners that are “color safe.” Numerous brands make them.

    * Experiment with hair ornaments. I haven't had all that much luck with combs and clips (my hair is fine) but I realized that with longer hair I could wear headbands. Great on a ';bad hair day,'; in the summer, or when you want to show off a fabulous pair of earrings.

    CURLY HAIR PRODUCTS

Apparently, lots of other folks have learned to love their curls and the hair care industry has taken notice. There are loads and loads of products and brands aimed at us curly heads in all price ranges. The complete list is of products is too numerous to mention and there is not a ';best'; (remember what may work on coarse curls may not work on fine). However with that in mind, the following are some products that I’ve been hearing about:

If you grow your hair out it won't get less curly, maybe more loose curls but not less curly. You can never loose your natural curls ( :

Turn upside down and spray freshly washed roots with volumizing or texturizing spray. Massage it in (stylist Garren insists the rubbing motion creates body and texture). I like Bumble and Bumble or you can try Aveda volumizing tonic .

If hair is naturally coarse or curly, work a straightening balm through hair.

Brush hair (this works the product evenly through hair). Blowdry hair straight, starting at the roots to get extra volume. Hair must be completely dry for this look to work. Blow cold air at the roots to add volume (cold air locks in a style).

Separate hair into three sections, securing with a ponytail holder. (It's easier this way to curl your way through each section).

To curl hair, use a wide-barrel curling iron. Starting with one section, take a 1-inch portion of hair, spritz it with styling spray (again, I love Bumble and Bumble Styling Spray) or hairspray. Wrap hair around the barrel of the curling iron. (Wrapping hair is different from the traditional curling method. You don't want to 'clip' hair into the barrel. Wrapping allows you to curl all the way to the root). When you're curling, make sure to leave ends loose to avoid a crimp mark.

Release the curl after about 5-10 seconds (hold longer if you want a tighter curl). You should have a corkscrew curl.

Roll curl and bobby pin it close to the scalp. (I'm lazy, so I skip this step to save time).

Alternate the direction of the curl as you work your way through each section. (It's all in the direction you wind hair around the barrel of the curling iron. Start by placing hair on top of the barrel and wrapping around, then switch by putting the barrel on top of the hair before winding it around). Alternating directions makes curls look more natural. Some curls can remain tight, some loose.

Once pinned curls have cooled, release them.

Remove nozzle from dryer and gently loosen waves with cool air. You can also separate curls with your fingers, just make sure not to brush them out.

To add shine, spritz a hair serum . Stylist David Babaii finger-combs Biosilk Silk Therapy serum into actress Kate Hudson's hair (May 2007, InStyle). You can forego hair serum and spritz with saltwater spray. I like John Frieda Beach Blonde Ocean Waves Sea spray.

    Set with hairspray. Just don't overdo it, you don't want new waves to feel ';crunchy.';
k heres what i did i put in lotion to straighten my hair and it loosened my curls
    just straighten it.

How to stop hair curling upwards at the tips?

I have straight hair that is around shoulder length. I try and avoid wearing it down because it curls up at the tips, I got told that after it grows past your shoulders it avoids that problem. But what do I do in the mean time? it's been like this for months now.

Also what do I do about thick hair, I can't really do anything with it. Everytime I get out of the shower its nice and straight but it will never stay like that. When it goes dry its all frizzy and never stays straight, and it starts to feel really hot. Is there anything I can do to make my hair a little thinner or prevent this?

Do I need to get a straightener to fix these problems? If so which one? I dont want to get one that is expensive :(How to stop hair curling upwards at the tips?
There's nothing you can do in the mean time, unfortunately. Just wait until it's past your shoulders. How to stop hair curling upwards at the tips?
Try not to go to bed when your hair is wet or moist...

or how about a pony tail and tie to tip of hair also
a flatiron works miracles and you need to trim it and have your hairdresser thin it out with thinning shears you will be amazed

Are in-store 3 month chemical straighteners a bad idea?

At Walmart, I saw this kit that you can use to straighten your hair. It comes with about 2 or three btotles of various chemical whatever, and they sell a type that straightens your hair and a type that curls it. The straightener one is supposed to last about three months.

I have very, very thick, curly (not tight ringles- looser than that) Irish curly hair that always gets out of control. Is this a good option? Will it hurt my hair? How effective will it be? Should I try it? Will it damage my hair?

I'd prefer someone with experience in using this type of product to provide some answers....thanks!Are in-store 3 month chemical straighteners a bad idea?
yes they are using chemicals to straiten your hair is really damaging to it and also it can make you go bald in the long run because it destroys your hair follicles in the long run just use a hair straitener

I'm in 8th grade, and just having my hair down and straight is getting boring. I wanna throw a new hairstyle into the mix. Sometimes I do low pigtails, or braids. I was thinking doing my braids boho style with strands pulled out randomly. I also sometimes make my bangs into a poof. Brushing wet hair......when in shower?

Ok, so I plan on growing my hair out. Its already pretty long for modern standards, almost to mid-back when dry, some split ends actually touching my rear end when wet. I have naturally curly bronze/dirty blonde hair color.

Problemo #1: They say the three most important things to do with long hair is to a.) Condition it, b.) Let it air-dry, and c.) NEVER brush when wet. I have done all unintentially before even checking out online about this, but I don't do the latter. Why?

Like stated before, my hair is naturally curly. Those of you that have curly hair know how easily it frizzes, especially when you live in the South, where the humidity makes your brown sugar clump up so much you actually have to chop it up. You also know how easily it tangles, and how easily split ends affect it.

I'm not like most teenagers. I hate straighteners. My hair is too curly to completely straighten, and from what I've seen of other girls' hair, it only damages hair. Since I'm not willing to straighten my hair as is the norm, I better have my curls under control unless I want to get teased. Meaning, no frizzy hair. I'm nerdy and fashion moronic enough as it is, I certainly don't need the frizzy hair to complete the entire picture.

However, the minute I run a brush through my air-dried hair, the curls dissipate immediately, replacing a frizzy wave. Personally, I don't like it, but I can tolerate it. I'm not willing to tolerate people sniggering at me and asking if I'm a 80's-amish hybrid.

So, I get up at five o'clock every morning, take a shower, brush my hair WHILE WET, and let it airdry. Why do I do this? If I brush my hair when wet, it dries up looking nicely curled, not so frizzy, and untangled. If I comb my hair before showering and let it airdry, its curly, but frizzy. So, I resort to brushing my hair when wet, the number one thing people recommend not doing. I brush from bottom to top, but I'm still paranoid about getting worse split ends, as it gives my mother an excuse to make me cut my hair.

So....long story short (too late), is it ok for me to brush my hair in the shower? I don't have a wide toothed comb, and my hair is so thick those things are never strong enough to pull through without breaking or pulling my hair out. I've had the same cushion brush I've been using since 4th grade. (My mother is convinced a brush is a brush, and I don't need a new one if it isn't broken.)

Is it ok if I brush my hair in the shower, if I lather it with conditioner, first?

Note: Don't reccomend any hair products for the frizz. I've tried any hair.......beautiful when it wants to be, horrifying if you want to style it. Good thing I'm a nerd....that exist. They all do the same thing. Get rid of some frizz, and all curl. Grr.....stupid thick GermanBrushing wet hair......when in shower?
I think you should try using a pick. My hair becomes all frizzy and whatnot also when I comb it with a regular brush, but using a pick will detangle your hair while keeping it frizz free :)Brushing wet hair......when in shower?
You really need the hair product though! It helps a lot, trust me. Either a leave in conditioner or a curl creme that's especially for curly hair. Then do what I do.. take a shower before you go to sleep, I don't understand what the fuss is about that. I mean c'mon.. it's the same thing as taking it in the morning, u won't get dirty from sleeping in your bed overnight. -.-

When it's 60% wet braid it.

I need help with my hair?!?

I'm bi-racial (so half black half white) and i have really curly hair. But it is not the african american kinky curls. My hair is really hard to deal with. I love my hair when it is strait, but the only time its strait is when I go to a hair dresser. Plus when I do straiten my hair it takes at least 3 hours, and then, still it is thick and poofy, and some parts remain wavy. I don't like straitening my hair cause it takes so long so I try to leave it curly. But my hair is a frizz ball when its dry-and im not exaggerating, it's like 3 inches of frizzy curl thickness %26amp; it's super dry no matter how much products I use. Right now I use Aussie shampoo, herbal essences conditioner, mark anthony for curls hairspray and herbal essences set me up mousse.

So any ways, any products that I could use to tame my hair?

What will help to grow it longer?

If I want to straiten it, what's the best way to do that? I have a pro T3 wet to dry straightener.

Thank you so much, your help is greatly appreciated, even if you answer one of these questions! :)I need help with my hair?!?
Bed head products work really good on curly hair. And its also cool if u straighten it than curl it with an iron.I need help with my hair?!?
    USE GARNIER STRAIGHT HAIR SHAMPOO

    OR TRIM UR HAIR

    GOOD LUCK!
you know you can perm your hair strait
Have your hairdresser permenently straighten your hair...also, gel could work on your hair, just not too much.

How should I do my hair. ?

well tomorrow i'm going to be performing at this concert thing with 5 other people. there'll be about 600 people in the audience.

anyways, let me describe my hair as specific possible:

k, so, it's light brown/dirty blond (i don't think you needed to know that, but just in case :P)

it's a tad frizzy, %26amp; its curly, but not like really really curly.

    it's like this lady's hair: http://www.tvlesson.com/lessonimages/125

except, it doesn't start being curly from the top. it starts being curly in the middle of my head. %26amp; its frizzy.

i also don't own a straightener, or curler, or anything. i normally just scrunch my hair with sunsilk captivating curls, but it still stays really frizzy. so, if you do recommend scrunching my hair, can you tell me some mousses that make your hair look nice %26amp; not frizzy?

soooo, can you tell me an easy way that i should style my hair for tomorrow? we start singing at like 7 pm or something. should i like braid it or something really tightly before bed? idkk. %26amp; please give me step by step instructions, because I'm retarded at this stuff. :P

    thank youu :)

    i'm 14 btw :)

How to make my hair almost perfectly straight?

I have a Remington T-Studio straightener that goes to either 300-320-340- 360-or 400. My hair isn't really thick or really thin either, it's in the middle.

I just want to make it as straight as possible. And I only have one Garnier hair spray, which I don't like cause it makes your hair look all oily. And my hair is to my shoulders pretty much.

What is your best technique to straightining hair (Not straightining it in, or curling it out with it)

If your going to make fun of me don't even answer :D

ALMOST PERFECTLY STRAIGHT. Cause I know it's impossible to get it perfect.

Oh, and when I do it. My hair always flips out after a period of time. Any ideas? How to make my hair almost perfectly straight?
Your question needs some clarifying. It's a bit hard to understand. Are you saying your hair is curly? Like I said, I'm not sure. Usually though, a flat iron is what is recommended. You could also try a hair relaxer treatment.

Hair curling for short hair help?

    hey :)

alright so my hair is pretty short like shoulder length. i also have fine hair. i always try to curl it with a curling iron but it never works!! it just comes out crimped. i also have a straightener and i dont know how to curl with that either. i have really flat hair and i wanna do something different (particularly curls) but i dont want it to be super big curls just like soft waves like vanessa anne hudgens. please help me!!!

p.s i dont wanna go out and buy anything. are there any natural ways?

thankyou so much for your time :)Hair curling for short hair help?
start off with like almost air dryed hair NOT DAMPED . you can try taking a paper bag and rip it into 1 inch peices of stripes , then take it side ways and get a piece of your hair and roll it up into it then tie it all the way to the top at the bottom layer . then for the top layer just roll then tie it half way then go to sleep or wait or something for until it drys then undo it and you should have nice natuaral curls . good luck [=Hair curling for short hair help?

    Serena Van Der Woodsen Hair

    Wavy, Imperfect Hair

Long, wavy, highlighted-blonde hair is definitely Serena Van Der Woodsen signature look. Blake Lively wears extensions on the show to get her hair super-long, so if your hair isn鈥檛 so long, consider clip-in hair extensions to get the same look. If you have long hair already, it will be even easier for you to get Serena signature hairstyle.

To get waves like Serena, work mousse through damp hair and blow dry with a diffuser attachment while scrunching to bring out your hair natural wave! Next, take a 1.25 or 1.5 inch barrel curling iron and curl your hair in sections, starting with the bottom layers and working your way up your head. Don鈥檛 worry about getting it perfect! Part of Serena style is that her hair is never perfect, and that okay! Finish your hair with light hold hairspray, tousle and go. Bonus points if you add a cute head scarf!
you could scrunch your hair with moose and put and elastic head band (a strechy head band lol) http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn163/hottygirl389/kara1.jpg

  • How can I keep my hair straight?

My natural hair is long, thin, brown with big, open curls. Kinda like this: http://images03.olx.com/ui/1/79/62/79077

I straighten my hair every other day with a Conair Infiniti Nano Silver Steam Straightener [red]. I divide into sections when straightening and that helps a little. I also use CHI Straight Guard before, and it also helps. By the end of the day, my hair will be a little more wavy, with more volume.

So, I've been wondering if there are any good techniques/products to keep the hair as straight as it is when I finish straightening, without sprays that make your hair as hard as stone. Here is a list of the products I have:

Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair shampoo [%26lt;- I use this every other day]

Biosilk Finishing Spray - firm hold

    Indola Silk %26amp; Cotton spray

CHI Straight Guard [%26lt;- I use it]

    CHI Silk Infusion

    CHI Keratin Mist

Frizz-Ease Take Charge Curl Boosting Mousse

Frizz-Ease Clearly Defined Style Holding Gel

    Schwarzkopf osis+ Sherbet Wax Spray

That's it.. As I said, if none of these products will help me achieve iron-straight hair for a whole day, please tell me the name of the product %26amp; how to use it, and I'll order it. :)

Thanks! How can I keep my hair straight?
i really like the product none of your frizziness from herbal essances. it works well and has a great smell.

Whats the best way to make your Wavy/Curly?

I always curl my hair with straighteners which is fine,it works, only thing is it is really damaging my hair..

All i want is natural looking waves/curls.

I dont own any hair rollers,

And i have used mousse and spray in the past which works at first but as the day goes on it drops out and then my hair just looks greasy from the mousse and hairspray!

My friend always sleeps with her hair in a bun which apparently works, I was just wondering if you had any other ideas or tips on how to get Wavy/curly looking hair?

By the way my hair is shoulder length with a fringe =]Whats the best way to make your Wavy/Curly?
    the best way, actually.

might be to get a perm.

i have one right now, and i love it.

of course, you have to find a good place

to get one,s o you might want to ask around where you live.

it might be very curly at first, but don't worry

the curls loosen up a few days later

just sleep on it wet, and when you wake up it looks

so amazing. i have gotten so many compliments on my hair.

    hope this helped =)

I know what works for me. I have naturally curly and natural frizz.

I use a hair serum before drying (citrus shine is cheap but a good product). I usually let it dry naturally, however if you are on the go use a cool blow dryer that has powerful wind force. Then use a ceramic hair straightener. Sealing the hair before styling is not only good but serum is good for sealing in water. The more moisture your hair has the better it is to manage and no frizz. I do not use any alcohol products or products that say no alcohol, I use oil base products. If your hair is frizzy it lacks oil. Using oil based products will promote oil that your so few sebaceous glands don;t. To straighten more permanently comb a perm thru your hair leave on 20 minutes and then nutrallize for 5 making sure you comb the hair straight and do not wash for 24-48 hours. Not even a ponytail. For all straightener users :D?

So, if you don't use styling spray/clay how long with the curl, wave, etc; stay in your hair ?

(Ex;; If you crimp your hair and you don't use anything to keep the crimp in for a long time)

Thanks in advance :DFor all straightener users :D?
I like to use a straigtening cream so it lasts through humidity and stuff. But it depends on what Im doing when I did for a school dance it lasted 2 hours because everyone was jumping around and stuff (with out the mask) But if its a regular school day with no gym then around 6-7 hours. I prefer the mask if I have gym that day or other physcial acctivities. For all straightener users :D?
well i straighten my hair alot and i never use anything in it... as long as it isnt to humid after i do it then it will probably stay in for like a day until i shower
If your hair doesn't get greasy easily it will stay in for a day or two

My mom loves my hair, I hate it! Read more!?

I have frizzy, extremely wavy (with a few ringlets here and there), and thick hair. It is all over the place. My mom loves it because her pin-straight-without-doing-a-thing-to-it is ';boring'; to her. She won't buy me hairspray, relaxer, or a straightener because she loves my hair. I usually use a home iron to straighten my hair (VERY bad for your hair, I know, but it's what I resorted to) and then steal my mom's hairspray (also bad, but I am desperate). She won't buy me any ';non-frizz'; products, either.

Are there any at-home remedies that get rid of frizz, wave, and curl? If not, how can I convince my mom to get me some products? My mom loves my hair, I hate it! Read more!?
flatning it with an iron, and using bad hairspray will just make ur hair worse!!!some things u can do is leaving condition in for 30min and rinsing, or leaving mayo in ur hair and rinsing it.My mom loves my hair, I hate it! Read more!?

Blowdrying your hair isn't always good but if you do that your hair will be naturally straighter when you're done. Just an idea.
I don't know of any at home remedies, but here's how you could convince your mama:

Sit her down and tell her casually and carefully that even though she really likes your hair, it's bothering you. Explain that your hair gets on your nerves. Say how it's always the same and you want a little change now and then. (telling her you want it to look like hers would be a plus :] ) Also, offer to pay for the products yourself.

    hope this helped!

    good luck!
buy ur own stuff thats wut i gotta do!
maybe buy your own hair products. she can't tell you not to use your own personal stuff and i'm sure once she sees how pretty some of your new styles are she won't be upset.
sit her down and explain it to her that she may love your hair but by not allowing you to experiment to find out what you love, you'll never love your own hair - and that's what matters. By forcing her opinion on you, you may constantly feel insecure because what she may love is something you want to change.

Tell her that by allowing you to try new things, you can learn to love your own hair instead of doing something drastic one day out of frustration (which many teens resort to)

So unless she wants to see you chop off all of your hair, dye it purple and make an oath never to wash it...

she should be more understanding =]
Get a job and buy your own stuff. Or you could blow dry it straight.

Hairtips and ideas for my thick curly hair (help from haircutters would be GREAT!)?

ok so i have long, thick, naturally curly hair. i really like how those girls have the hair thats a little longer than shoulder length and has a lot of layers, and the layers are pretty short.

i want to get my hair cut like that! but i have a few problems. ive always pretty much had long hair. but i have bangs that are right at my eyebrows. when i straighten them they do fine and stay straight. but when i straighten the rest of my hair, it always starts to curl again! and the ends flip out! i dont want to get my hair cut short if its gonna look horrible! and i have the Remmington Wet2straight flatiron. whenever i straighten my hair i do the layers thing where you only do one layer at a time and put the rest of your hair up. but i always end up with those annoying and gross looking waves in the back of my head. do you know what i mean?! like the back wont straighten or something. so here are my questions:

how can i straighten my hair PERFECTLY, have it stay like that and look good?

if i cut my hair short like the ';scene'; haircuts will it be ok to straighten?

will it look really bad to leave it curly?

and is there something else i can do?

like products to use, tricks to try, and maybe whats the best straightener?

like does anyone have one that works AWESOME? but is still reasonably priced??Hairtips and ideas for my thick curly hair (help from haircutters would be GREAT!)?
my hair is long thick and curly i leave it curly sometimes it looks good. When i straighten my hair the bottom of my hair kind of flips when i walk to school so i put it up it helps a bit and i have a pro touch straightner it works pretty good for me

I also need help with how to straighten it really good thoughHairtips and ideas for my thick curly hair (help from haircutters would be GREAT!)?
I have long curly hair too...and tried to do the ';Rachel'; haircut back in the 90's and learned a HUGE lesson, I learned that curly hair has different texture than straight or wavy hair making it more difficult to get those haircuts in the magazines look like they do in the magazines. For me, I tend to leave my hair long and in layers so that it doesn't bush out to the sides and if I'm wanting something different I get some color done. I suppose I could flat-iron my hair daily, but considering it takes 3 hours for it to be done in a salon, I'm not willing to put that much time into it when I can put in my products and go! Embrace your curls! It's what makes you unique!
