What kind of hair straightener is best for my hair?

I have pretty long hair (about 4 inches above my waist) that I recently had cut on a bit of an angle with the hair in front being more at my shoulders and angling back to where it's longest. It's your typical long hair cut with a bit shorter front and long back with some long layering/texturing in the back. The hair itself is pretty fine but I have a lot of it. I used to put my hair back wet so there is some breakage that gives it a bit of a frizzy look.

My hair has some natural wave to it in the back that stays pretty wavy, but the front/sides tend to go pretty stick-straight on me. I've used product in it that helps the wave stay a bit longer but I'm looking into getting that sleek-smooth look that I'm thinking straight-irons give.

The question is which one to buy? I've heard the 1 1/2 inch Sedu is wonderful but can I curl my hair with one that wide? For my type of hair how long is it *really* going to take me to straighten it? I'm a wash and go kind of girl usually. :)What kind of hair straightener is best for my hair?
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons (hair straighteners), including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss, Ghd, T3, Kenta etc.

In terms of performance - The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd. These are top of the line professional brands.

Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

GHD's are the best ones to buy they are dear but well worth the money!!
chi's aren't even that good. they cost 100 dollars and more, I use a remingtion wet2straight. they work great and it's a bargain ! they can come in 1 inch and two inch.
I would try Kera-Care hair products, it's works wonders. I can straighten, curl, fluff, and add bounce to any type of hair
you should think about getting one that doesnt damage your hair.. it will say on the back of the straightener box or look them up online.. any straightener with ';negative ions'; will guarantee to not damage your hair, they stop static ad seal in moisture. any straightener with infrared heat is BAD.. it WILL damage your hair. hope this helps =)
I use the bed head Light me up straighter! it heats up to 400 degrees and it has Fiber Optic Heat Indicators that change colors as heat settings change, and the clamps are fexible so it is easier to straighten! I love it! another plus is the fact that it is PINK! :)
